For 25 years, my dad — Dick B. (J.D., CDAAC), the unofficial historian of Alcoholics Anonymous — gave his life to documenting the roles God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Bible played in early A.A.’s astonishing success. He researched, wrote, and published more than 45 titles on early A.A. history and the original Christian program that produced near-miraculous recovery results in Akron, Ohio, beginning in June 1935. He achieved sobriety on April 21, 1986, and carried the message until his passing on September 12, 2015, with 29+ years of continuous sobriety.

I am Ken B. — Dick B.’s son. I carry forward this work because it glories God and His Son Jesus Christ, and honors my dad’s legacy of helping those who still suffer.

Since 2015, I have maintained and expanded Dick B.’s research library, website, blog (1,750+ articles), and publishing catalog — keeping 31 volumes in print and available to Christian recovery leaders, A.A. historians, pastors, chaplains, seminary libraries, prison ministries, and all who seek the truth about where A.A. came from and why it worked.
